Western cultures are in such a hurry to enforce independence from the day our babies are born.
Elsewhere in the world it is encouraged to co-sleep/bedshare with babies from birth.
In Mexico, fathers co-sleep with their sons and mothers with their daughters.
In Japan it is normal for parents to bedshare from birth through to toddler years.
I have bedshared with all three of my children as babies (it’s the only way we had a good nights sleep) and when done safely there are huge benefits, as you can see in the visual guide.
