Exercise your body for the wellbeing of your mind ????????????????
The body can have a powerful effect on mental wellbeing; and therefore, moving your body and getting some exercise is likely to make you feel good!
This is because exercise is known to maintain and even improve feelings of wellbeing by causing chemical changes in our brains.
Before having Bonnie I was a fitness fanatic (Gym everyday, Body pump and Insanity workouts) so I know what happens when you miss a day of exercise and how much it can effect your mood, energy etc. So not doing any exercise for over a year has made me determined to get back into keeping my mind healthy.
I already do a fantastic post natal class with Super Mumma Fitness where I can take Bonnie too and My friend invited me along to another fantastic fitness class that started today in our local area!
Family Fitness & Fun is run by a charity called Home-Start UK with class’s being held in our local area (and across the UK) which are aimed at not just new mums but anyone that wants to exercise! There were a lovely group of older ladies too, so the instructor gave variations on exercises for all levels of fitness.
Not only are these class’s FREE, but you can take your children/ babies along too and there is no pressure if you need to stop to see to your LO or need to go at your own pace!
Here’s the link for the class’s in our local area:
