Come back early days of breastfeeding!
So the first (I’d say) 10 weeks of breastfeeding Bonnie were probably the hardest….I was sat on the sofa, feeding what seemed like 24/7 for ten weeks! There was also the “Boob Bopping” and “Arm Flapping” where baby comes on/off breast and gives you a few slaps to the chest, that can makes you wonder if you are doing it right!
Some days I would get tearful because I felt like I couldn’t do anything else for the rest of my family!
8 months down the line I look back now and think WTF was I crying about!
I got to chillax and cuddle my sleeping Bonnie ALL day!
I still feed on demand (during the day and night) and sometimes when Bonnie is going through a growth spurt or teething she feeds like a newborn again.
CLUSTER feeding IS demanding sometimes, but I feel very lucky that I have these two wonderful tools (my boobs) that calm, soothe and feed her!
There is no such thing as breastfeeding a baby too much, only too little!
